A new training room was added to Plant 2 in 2009. The room
accommodates 25 people and has been outfitted with the latest
technology and furnishings to make for a comfortable learning
experience.
Eleven employees completed our first Ivy Tech training class and
passed their NIMS Level 1 test. All eleven received a
certificate from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills for
their Level 1 training. The course was offered during work hours
and lasted 10 weeks. An average learning gain score of 90% was
achieved!! By December 2010, all IMC Corporation
employees will have completed their Level 1 training.
The training room has also been used for ABC Matrix
Performance training and Fork Truck training for our new Fork Truck
program. Plans are in place to also conduct Financial Peace classes
in the future.
