14% Annual Growth Drives Major Expansion for Precision Metalworking Firm

IMC Corporation, an Indianapolis-based precision metalworking firm, has added a new 17,000 square foot machine shop and tool & die operation less than 1/2 mile from their production facility. This free-standing machining facility will enable IMC to meet a rapidly growing demand for these services. IMC will be aggressively pursuing additional machining customers. The new facility will also free up space for fabrication and assembly in their current 50,000 square foot production center.

According to Ernie Huber, IMC President, “IMC grew in sales by over 14% in 2003. This expansion will enable us to meet increased demand from existing customer and pursue new opportunities.” One of those new opportunities will be a powder coat line, enabling IMC to better control the entire process from raw material to finished package assembly. A rapidly growing component of IMC’s business is the production of completed assemblies, which IMC packages so they are ready for customers’ distribution systems.

IMC has been serving major manufacturers in the medical, electronic and appliance industries since 1963, producing precision sheet metal and small machined parts and assemblies. They provide rapid precision metalworking support from prototyping through assembly. IMC is certified by NSF® to be in compliance with ISO 9001-2000 standards. They serve a diverse customer base with a wide range of machine tools and processes that include laser cutting, CNC punching and bending, plus the building and running of hard tooling.
